Behind every visionary creator lies a singular journey. That of Alban Bissielo, founder of the Arts & Beauté studio, is an odyssey shaped by continents, cultures, and passions. The story of an architect of emotion.
Born in Paris and originally from Gabon, Bissielo was forced to flee his country at a young age due to his father’s political opposition to the regime in power. This unsettled childhood led him to seek refuge in an imaginary world—dreaming of safe, harmonious spaces imbued with meaning. Today, those childhood dreams have taken shape in a respected architecture and interior design studio with offices in France, Belgium, and Monaco—and soon Luxembourg—supported by a twenty-strong team across these territories.
A Vision Forged Through Displacement
Bissielo did not follow the traditional path through architecture schools. A self-taught talent, he built his expertise through passion and determination, fuelled by design magazines, voracious reading, and a deep fascination with art, history, and luxury in its truest form: craftsmanship and quality. In 2018, together with two co-founders—one based in London, the other in Miami—he established Arts & Beauté, a studio headquartered in Thionville and now expanding toward Luxembourg.
More than just a creative agency, the studio is a declaration of aesthetic intent—a bridge between Africa and Europe, between roots and aspirations, and between artistic intuition and the rigour of contemporary design.
“I want luxury to speak of diversity, hybridity, and intercultural dialogue.”
Arts & Beauté’s DNA: Tailored Design as a Core Commitment
What sets Arts & Beauté apart in the highly competitive world of interior architecture is its deeply human, artisanal, and bespoke approach.
The studio offers end-to-end support from concept to execution, incorporating high-precision 3D renderings, technical drawings, and artistic proposals. Its responsive, multidisciplinary team is capable of meeting tight deadlines while sourcing rare and exceptional materials internationally. Arts & Beauté also fosters partnerships with African artists, adding rich cultural depth to each project, and embraces local manufacturing that fuses artisanal mastery with innovation. With a strong B2C foundation and an actively developing B2B outreach, the company operates through a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration, merging art, design, and even psychology to meet the specific and refined expectations of each client.
A Living, Breathing Aesthetic
Rejecting the impersonal, museum-like interiors often associated with luxury, Arts & Beauté designs spaces that are alive—sensitive, warm, and elegant without being austere. Alban Bissielo dismisses cold, distant luxury in favour of a beauty that comforts, connects, and resonates. His aesthetic vision is rooted in meaning and emotion.
The Studio’s Core Values? Respect. Excellence. Authenticity. Aesthetic Integrity with Ethical Purpose.
An Intercultural and Audacious Take on Luxury
The Arts & Beauté signature is a fusion of Western precision and African creativity—where references like Mies van der Rohe or Le Corbusier meet the visual language of Malangatana or traditional African textiles. Bissielo’s influences are broad and unapologetically eclectic: from Pharrell Williams to Emily in Paris, he draws inspiration from a hybrid, decompartmentalised, and confident cultural world.
“I want luxury to speak of diversity, hybridity, and intercultural dialogue,” he says with pride.
A Studio on the Rise
Arts & Beauté is now establishing itself as a key player in the high-end interior design market. With successful projects across France, Belgium, and Monaco, the studio is preparing a strategic entry into Luxembourg, while maintaining a curated and high-quality social media presence. With a client base that is 95% B2C, the team is actively expanding into B2B markets, always remaining true to its essence: architecture rooted in emotion, attentive listening, and bold creativity.
A Creator, a Bridge, a Vision
Alban Bissielo doesn’t just design interiors—he tells stories, conveys emotions, and weaves connections across cultures. From a childhood marked by hardship to the creation of a one-of-a-kind design studio, he exemplifies how resilience, passion, and vision can transform life’s challenges into works of art.
Arts & Beauté is more than a studio—it is a statement. An invitation to see luxury differently: more authentic, more human, more alive.
