Baker Tilly Luxembourg Joins Benelux Platform As New Leadership Takes Shape

The Luxembourg firm is entering a new phase of development, with Yannick Ravaine becoming CEO, Arnaud Delalle chairing the Board and four directors joining the partnership.

Baker Tilly Luxembourg is joining Baker Tilly’s Benelux platform, alongside the Belgian and Dutch firms, in a move designed to strengthen regional cooperation, broaden expertise and support clients whose activities increasingly span several jurisdictions.

The transaction, expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026, will bring together 25 offices and approximately 1,500 professionals across the Benelux. The financial terms were not disclosed.

For the Luxembourg firm, the announcement is not presented as a change of identity, but as a new stage of development. Baker Tilly Luxembourg will retain its governance, teams, local roots and national decision-making authority, while gaining access to a broader pool of expertise and investment capacity.

“The Benelux platform gives us the resources to support our clients on broader engagements, without changing what defines our value: our proximity to clients and our knowledge of the Luxembourg market. That is exactly what we were looking for,” says Yannick Ravaine, Chief Executive Officer of Baker Tilly Luxembourg.

A Benelux platform for cross-border clients

The rationale behind the alliance reflects the nature of Baker Tilly Luxembourg’s client base. Many of the firm’s clients have activities, shareholders or structures in several countries, requiring both local expertise and coordinated international support.

The new platform is designed to provide a single point of contact for engagements covering Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands, backed by local experts across the three markets and, where needed, the wider Baker Tilly International network.

For clients, Baker Tilly Luxembourg says the platform should bring easier access to more expertise, better coordination on international engagements and the ability to support multidisciplinary projects, while preserving the local relationships that have defined the firm’s approach for more than fifty years.

The alliance is also intended to pool resources, coordinate investments and share expertise among three independent firms that remain autonomous in their national markets.

Investment in technology and talent

The Benelux platform is supported by Inflexion, a minority shareholder, which is backing the investments required for its development. The stated priorities include consolidating the accountancy and advisory market, strengthening the platform’s market position, and investing in talent and technology.

For Baker Tilly Luxembourg, this includes accelerating investment in digital tools, artificial intelligence and the recruitment of specialists.

“The quality of advice now rests as much on human expertise as on the technology that supports it,” the firm says.

The Luxembourg team currently comprises approximately 110 professionals. For the firm, the platform is also intended to create new opportunities for internal cooperation, access to specialist expertise and professional development across the Benelux.

Four new partners

Alongside the Benelux move, Baker Tilly Luxembourg is also changing its partnership and governance structure.

Jean-Claude Lucius and Jean-Philippe Mersy will gradually hand over their responsibilities and step back from day-to-day management, while continuing to support the firm during the transition.

Four directors are joining the partnership: Julie Ratajczak, Michaël Duval, Loïc Heinrich and Nicolas Meyer. The appointments bring the partnership to nine partners.

Julie Ratajczak is responsible for payroll, international employee mobility and personal taxation, a practice area the firm intends to develop further.

Michaël Duval advises international clients, start-ups and investment structures, and leads the digitalisation of the firm’s tools.

Loïc Heinrich supports clients on accounting and financial matters, including valuation, consolidation, business plans and restructuring transactions.

Nicolas Meyer works with private equity clients and investment structures, from vehicle set-up through to ongoing monitoring and reporting.

All four appointments are internal promotions, reflecting careers built within Baker Tilly Luxembourg.

“Appointing four partners from our own teams at the very moment we join the platform says it all: we are building our future with people who already know our clients,” says Arnaud Delalle, Chairman of the Board of Baker Tilly Luxembourg.

Luxembourg governance

The responsibilities previously associated with the Managing Partner role will now be divided between two distinct functions. Yannick Ravaine serves as Chief Executive Officer, while Arnaud Delalle chairs the Board.

According to the firm, this structure is intended to support its development while maintaining strong Luxembourg governance. Decisions relating to clients and business lines will continue to be made in Luxembourg.

“We have planned this transition over time, together with our partners. Jean-Philippe and I both started here as juniors, and we are handing over to partners who have built their careers with us. It is a source of great pride,” says Jean-Claude Lucius, Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Luxembourg.

For Baker Tilly Luxembourg, the move is therefore both regional and internal: a closer alliance within the Benelux, combined with a generational handover inside the Luxembourg firm.

“Luxembourg remains at the heart of our project,” the firm states. “We want to strengthen our position here further, with more expertise, stronger teams and ever more demanding engagements.”
