Consolidation In Luxembourg Security Services: Onet Luxembourg Acquires Seris Luxembourg

A strategic acquisition strengthens Luxembourg’s private security landscape amid rising demand and sectorwide consolidation.

Luxembourg’s security services landscape is undergoing consolidation after Onet Luxembourg announced the acquisition of Seris Luxembourg.

Founded in Luxembourg in 1977, the Luxembourg subsidiary of the Onet Group, which offers maintenance, pest control, logistics, waste management and security services, did not disclose the transaction fee.

The acquisition enables the firm, which currently employs around 1000 people and serves some 350 customers, to expand its security services offer, by onboarding the 250 Seris Luxembourg employees.

“The acquisition of Seris Luxembourg marks an important milestone for Onet, strengthening our presence in the Luxembourg security market,” managing director Pascal Rogé says, adding: “Beyond reinforcing our position, we attach particular importance to the integration of Seris employees, whose experience and expertise will be valued as we continue our mission of excellence and client proximity.”

Over the last two decades, private security services have flourished in Luxembourg and globally, as a result of new uncertainties in a globalised world, increases in retail crime and a strained police force. According to industry research experts IBISWorld, Luxembourg has listed 31 private security companies over the past five years, employing around 1,264 staff. In 2025, it estimated revenues to rise annually by 1.6% to reach €76.5 billion.
