René Matthieu, the world’s best plant-based chef, and his associate Mario Willems, co-founders of My Roots and collaborators for nearly twenty years, have decided to channel their shared passion for cuisine into innovation. Together with Cyrille Gerhardt, founder of Smell-Marketing, they have created a unique box of edible fragrances.

A groundbreaking innovation is emerging at the crossroads of haute cuisine, olfactory art, and plant-based gastronomy. Smell-Marketing, led by Cyrille Gerhardt and a pioneer in the diffusion of organic and natural fragrances since 2014, is partnering with My Roots. This project brings together the renowned Michelin-starred chef René Matthieu and designer Mario Willems to launch an unprecedented initiative.

A Unique Sensory Box

This exclusive box of culinary fragrances captures the essence of the four seasons, along with an emblematic ingredient from Luxembourg: the rose. It offers food lovers the opportunity to recreate a unique sensory experience at home, enhancing plant-based cuisine with delicate seasonal aromas. Each edible fragrance is designed to elevate dishes and awaken the senses, offering a distinctive olfactory and gustatory touch.

The fragrances have been developed in collaboration with Jean-Charles Sommerard, the world’s first eco-perfumer, renowned for his expertise in natural aromas. His work has matched each ingredient with a unique olfactory signature, further enriching the gastronomic experience.

A Tribute to Luxembourg’s Terroir

Among the selected ingredients, the rose takes center stage. As a symbol of Luxembourg, it adds elegance and refinement to culinary compositions. Paired with the flavors of the four seasons, it embodies the harmony between tradition and innovation.

An Immersive and Accessible Experience

Each box includes a QR code that grants access to a collection of exclusive recipes created by René Matthieu. Customers can recreate the chef’s signature dishes at home, enhanced by the edible fragrances and plant-based water also developed by Sommerard.
