Stéphanie Breydel de Groeninghe, art historian and art advisor, co-founded Ts’Art in 2023. Through this initiative, she curates exhibitions, organizes workshops, conferences, and team-building activities for companies, creating bridges between the worlds of business and art.
Stéphanie, you are Belgian, arrived in Luxembourg in 2006, and are now one of the key figures in the country’s art market. How did your journey lead you to create Ts’Art?
I come from a family of architects, and by the age of 15, I already knew I wanted to study art history. I became an art historian and archaeologist, earned a diploma as an antique dealer and art broker, and developed dual expertise in ancient and contemporary art. After working for a gallery in Brussels, I moved to Luxembourg, where I was hired by AXA Luxembourg to develop the AXA Art office, then by Hiscox to oversee Private and Art clients across Europe. I supported AXA Luxembourg in building their contemporary art collection and collaborated with other corporate art collections. My expertise in art collection management allows me to oversee the development of both private and institutional collections. More than just work, art is a true passion for me. To share it more widely, I decided to use my expertise and network to create Ts’Art, helping people engage with art through their companies.
“This approach enhances the impact of CSR policies while creating a unique and inspiring artistic experience.”
Your clients include businesses of all sizes as well as business clubs. What services do you offer them?
Our services are diverse and tailored. We design thematic exhibitions, organize conferences on topics such as How to start a collection?, The five lives of an artwork, or AI and new technologies in art. We also host workshops, lead guided tours at major international art fairs, arrange artist studio visits, and run creative workshops on themes like inclusion or upcycling art. Additionally, we offer team-building activities aligned with our clients’ CSR strategies, using art as an interactive tool to reinforce engagement and purpose within their corporate sustainability policies.
Do you have a particular artistic focus or specific artists you enjoy showcasing?
I always start by listening to the client, understanding their vision and the topics they want to explore. Bringing art into the workplace can be a powerful tool for raising awareness on social or environmental issues, helping employees connect with these causes. This approach enhances the impact of CSR policies while creating a unique and inspiring artistic experience. Every project is custom-designed and turnkey. With over 25 years in the industry, I leverage my experience, expertise, and network to collaborate with local artists, museums, and institutions, but I also work beyond Luxembourg, serving an international clientele.
With remote work on the rise, one of the biggest challenges for companies today is strengthening team cohesion. How can Ts’Art address this need?
Art is an incredible social connector. It brings people together, fosters dialogue, and offers a refreshing break from daily work life. We are often surrounded by art without realizing it, but the moment we start engaging with it, it becomes a topic of conversation. The goal is to demystify art. At every event, I see how curious, engaged, and enthusiastic employees are! My sessions are neither academic nor elitist—I always adapt to my audience and make art accessible. I like to say that if, after one of my events, even one person feels inspired to visit a museum or explore a gallery, then I have achieved my mission.
